It has been a busy couple of months, so here is an update on the progress of my current endeavors:
I tracked a song for Mike Abdow's next disc. The tune is called Threshold and the cd will be released by Shredguy Records. Date forthcoming, but in the meantime, check out www.michaelabdow.com
I have now worked on four songs for the next Christian Muenzner cd and it is going to be stellar. There is a lot more work to do, but so far things are very promising.
In addition to Christian's cd, his usual drummer extraordinaire, Hannes Grossmann, has tracked 5 songs for an upcoming project of mine. The music is soimewhere between Scholomance and The Fractured Dimension stylistically.
I released two singles recently on cdbaby. One is a beautiful meditative piece, and the other is an epic prog rock tune which was originally written for Scholomance. Check them out here: http://www.cdbaby.com/Artist/JimmyPitts1
And, finally, I have 3 songs mixed for the sophomore outing by The Fractured Dimension. They are turning out quite heavy and are extremely technical.

There is a monsterous tech band who writes almost entirely in 12 tone/Serialism who have asked me to help them on keys. The band is called The Cup to Cup Water Transfer and can be found on Facebook

A new album by The Fractured Dimension! Spring 2013
Christian Muenzner
Christian Muenzner, guitarist of technical death metal band Obscura, has invited Jimmy to record keys for his next solo album. His first solo cd is entitled Time Warp, and is highly recommended to fans of melodic guitar virtuosity. This followup cd will not see the light of day for a while, but recording has officially commenced and the first tracks are stellar.
MALS Digipack
The MALS version of 2 L 8 2 B Normal is officially released. It was previously stated that it would be a digipak, however, MALS chose to go with jewel cases instead. It looks excellent, and Jimmy is thrilled to be once again working with such a musician-friendly label. www.mals.ru
2 L 2 B Normal - (shr)Edited Cut
The lost tracks of Jeremy Barnes make a frightening appearance on the much lauded Pitts Minnemann Project - 2 L 8 2 B Normal cd. And this version is edited from 52 minutes down to 40 minutes, keeping only the parts that add metallic fiber to your diet. While the original 2 L 8 2 B Normal is a must hear and the intended form of it's composers, this is the version for those with a shorter attention span and a lust for shred! Gone are the elements of jazz piano, saxophone, and violin, and inserted is a whole truckload of notes courtesy of Jeremy Barnes and others.
The Pitts/Minnemann Project - Russian Label Release
Back in 2009, MALS Records released The Fractured Dimension's debut album, Towards The Mysterium, and now they are back to take on Jimmy's newest project, The Pitts/Minnemann Project - 2 L 2 B Normal. Keep on the look out for this nice digipack release. Along with the digipack will be a push for reviews and further distribution. The new edited version of Jimmy’s latest cd has been released through Amazon and CreateSpace. This time it is entitled “2 L 8 2 B Normal (shr)EDITED CUT” and has been cut down to 40 minutes of the heavier, more virtuosic material. Jeremy Barnes, one of the world’s fastest guitarists, has added additional solos and sections that are sure to please fans of all things shred.
